Car's running again. Feels pretty quick after driving a ae82 rolla around for a month. I must be getting old though cos i hate the noise at 100... I think i might put some sound deadener in the boot.

Anyway changes are new head, cometic metal gasket and new head bolts.

Hey mate
Its been ages since this last post of yours!
Are you still using that Cometic head gasket?
I had nothing but massive leaking when I had a builder talk me into one of those.
Theyre useless unless (as told from Cometic and the website) you have the head and block to near mirror finish in terms of planing the surfaces.

Be careful and dont trust them unless this has been done.
Did you get the work on the head done by Head Torque in ozzy park?

Yes using a cometic gasket. Head was mirror finished but block was not. Doesn't appear to be leaking. Haven't had any problems with it.

Yeah Head Torque did the head.
