any idea what spring rate you have?

I started a post in the articles section that lists all the know spring rates for these cars, so you can compare to taht if you like. Beyond that the "right" spring rate depends ont he use and the matched dampers.

hey Callumgw.

Thats the drama as I not know what rate I have.

I was thinking of taking one to a shop and match one up off shelf and aim for around 4kg.

But I am open to ideas on spring rate.

Dont mind a little firm but needs to be streetable..

you could measure the wire diameter and count the free coils to calculate the rate, or many places have spring measures thats a bit more accurate.

OR you could improvise a spring measurer get a bathroom scale and put it under a drill press, stand a ruler next to it pull down on the drill and see what the scale reads for each cm/inch/mitre of deflection. easiest with two people.

Why not measure the height to a point on the car inline with the front or back wheels, load the front or back with 100kgs of stuff, re-measure, divide by two............bingo! Spring rate.
:D

lever arms, suspension pivots, load placement, accuracy of load true weight...... lots of reasons why that method would give only a very loose result.

That's awesome dude!

I tell you, you don't need anymore as it doesn't take much to loose traction with these little beasts.

All I can say is I know when I punch mine it wants to slip traction in 1st, 2nd & sometimes 3rd.

Cheers,
Dexi

I am quite a fan of the orange look!
It's strangely familiar!
That interior is one of a kind.
The wheels look a bit like Alfa romeo GTV6 or 75 factory alloys.. But they are never that shiny!
Awesome.

Has your paint got mica chips through it too?
If you have a paint code, that would be awesome!

Sorry.

I don't have a paint code. Previous owner had it painted. I brought the car half finished. He did tell me it is Lamborghini orange.

Yes the interior is different. The door cards are aluminum sheets.

And yes the wheels are a bit different. I think they look like the OZ rally style.
