Oh Yeah, and in Finland we have this thing called rust, because of the snow in winter, and the salt that they use to keep the roads snow free

i have another car for the winter to keep this one rust free

Wanna make a bet? It's a killer if you live on or near the coast (like 80% of us do) coz you get the beautiful cool sea breeze that make summer sooooo nice, and it's full of salt mist...........

i honestly don't know. it says "cherry" on the bumber, and i had another too, but i sold it.

the skirts are off a 1980thies Opel Ascona B (glass fibre copies). i have the skirts to go with the bumber(says cherry on them too) (and small wings for the rear) too , but i haven't had the time to get them on.

ok. i got the head back from the shop, looks great.

ported / polished, port matched , 3 angle valve job, machined to straigth.

now just gotta put it in (and get some studded tyres with M/S 'cos it it gonna snow sooner or later.)

the Subaru that i have for this winter is lacking say about one square meter of sheet metal, a mig and "some" work

Damm Rust.

good thing that i have done some work to stop rust on the car, and if i keep washing it (there is no DIY washing place near here, only automats (and the sunroof can't handle the high pressure jets) so i have to do it outside) it should be fine

rest of the pics

haven't seen much snow this winter (there should be around 20-50 cm of snow on the ground this time of the year, and those pics are taken today), and the studs on my tires are almost gone, so when it does actually snow, i'm prone to crash.

the turbo (T02/T25 hybrid) got a little hit when the oil pipe snapped while i was on the highway and burns some oil, i need to install my T25.

i have new springs for the front, and i need to get new shocks (original ones 214€ / piece, around 360 $AUD/piece), so i'm thinking diesel reco's / aftermarket (kyb gas around 70 $AUD / piece )

i also need to change front bearings, brake pads, rear shoes and brake fluid, a CVJ (the rubber is busted) and fix the reverse light switch[/url]

took some "new" photos last week

My Optima Redtop
Image
More pics

the battery cable is 70mm^2 (somewhere between OOO an OO AWG) welding cable, normally used to weld railway tracks together, so it should be sturdy enuff

also did some editing on old posts 'cause i changed my ISP and old images were "lost"

(there are some new images in those from last summer)

P.S. i seriously need a new digital camera.

P.S.S it seems this winter is as mild as the last one, although it is snowing right now and temperature is below zero c. makes you think about the climate change, cause in feb we used to have -10c regulary and sometimes even -30c to -35c (try starting YOUR car in that :P)
