Hmm I would use a wrx vf22 turbo. the sti turbos work very well in the mazda engines.
then again its also because there's less to modify on them to fit when compared to a garrett/nissan turbo

Thanx for the suggestions guys, the wrx turbo would be quite difficult to find here, if possible. And if i can get 1, it won't be cheap :? im on a budget.

Im gona sort out the head with some mods to get the rev's up, and replace every seal and gasket , filter on the engine, sort out all the small little problems on the car, put the complete engine together, and drop it in.

Ill get everything needed for the turbo so i can just get a thicker gasket( i did my homework, dont worry) and put on the turbo on when i have everything. dont have the money right now :oops: ill only be running 0.7bar boost. Main reason for the engine coming out was an oil leak, and the clutch plate, and because the bay was full of oil, and needs a respray. I thought i would have to change the rods/pistons for the turbo, thats why i took everything apart. But aparantly the stock items can handle boost quite well. Well everything is cleaned now :lol: :oops:

Can anyone tell me what turbo the mazda 13b rotary uses, i can mabye get one for free cuz the guy is upgrading.

Thanx

Hi reply is;

"Hey mate

Mostly stock engine, it has low compressoin pistons in it. 8.1:1. But they are not forged. Besides that everything is 100% factory.

So tell him to go ahead and boost it up!

It will last fucking ages if he keeps the boost low, i'm running 20psi though."

Didn't mention what pistons he used but I think you get the idea that they can handle boost pretty well. I think hes got over 260 fwkw now, since the video hes changed the turbo, piping and a new ex manifold with longer runners.

a little more than most et15's I know of...
