N12sumfin Track Thrash Hack Project
N12sumfin Track Thrash Hack Project
Hey guys i thought i should start my project thread so you can follow progress, or lack of it (projects progress will be advanced on a whim of time wasting only) Will also include all costs associated with everything.
Bought it for the measly cost of $250
Then met up on the Central Coast with John to purchase his set of 16" wheels, ecu, ignition barrel and speedo cable, again $250
After getting back i took the wheels to my local tyrepower and we realised that 1 was majorly buckled 3 tyres absolutley stuffed and 1 with major slashes in the side. the main wheel is going to the fixed at a engineerign mob for $100, then 3 tyres (still yet to get $65 each 205/40/r16).
Now on why the car was so cheap it had a attempted theft which left the whole loom in a massive state of disrepair, which led me to find a BRAND NEW LOOM $266 delivered, i am talking BRAND NEW complete with engine and body loom.

ive been researching on the net for ages and it seems the way to go is Awd. Will be going solid axle and watts link, with 4 point mounting and coilovers with modified strut tops, complete cage in the rear, seam welding the lot, and a fuel cell over the rear diff with tubbed rear end.
got a mate looking for a vs live axle we are going to shorten for this, so the rear end of the car is thought out i just havent decided on what engine combo to use? please vote in the poll so i can get an idea on what you guys would use?
