hi martin,
welcome to the 15et-community ;)
in the picture you can see the black air-regulator which manages the extra amount of air for warming up the engine and at the right of it the (fast) idle control valve.

did you have any cracks in the head between the spark plug hole and the valve seats?

btw. in case your car is still unwelded at this section: could you help me out with some pics? -> http://forum.n12turbo.com/viewtopic.php?t=6224

greets
martin

The long one with 2 bolts is your ICV idle control valve.
The other one, the black one with 4 screws is your Air regulator.

More info about them is in the n12 manual -

14.00 1/4mile.

Stock, engine, manifolds, stock ECU.

Decent, exhaust (min 2.5inch), intercooler (min 450x300x50mm), clutch,
15-18psi, sticky tyres, some sort of extra fueling (extra staged injector,
or adjusted fuel pressure), 50mmT/B.

Have a look at my members ride, it has a performance breakdown over the years and what time I have run with what mods.

hello, i would estimate around 80% here have cracks in their cylinder heads and live with it, including me :( (maybe i'm going to get my spare one repaired someday)

regarding the photo i need: i searched around to find some (random car) example pictures of the section that i am interested in:

i have to know how the construction looks like where the sidewall meets the sill at the underbody.

as far as i can remember it should not join the sill-lip as a third layer, but end somewhere on the underside of the sil, can you verify this?
thank you in advance

it.s not polished.i just rub it with (i don't now how to say) a wire brush(thats we call it in bulgaria).

but i saw that many n12turbo owners put it off and change the AFM position.
but how to get good idle if i replace this shit and ICV and the other stuf

Keep the valves and let em see manifold pressure.

It's not important to actually get rid of the log, that's just for looks.

It's all explained here.
