Hey I noticed where you have your gauges above your cd player, how big are your gauges because a 52mm gauge only just fits from top to bottom.

I'm wondering how you did that?

can u take a closer picture for me if you could?

Yeah mate they are a tight fit. The guages touch on the top and bottom. I removed the plastic pocket thing and used that plastic to make the new face. I sprayed it all black but the paint ate into the plastic a bit. It is still ok. I also put a guage where the ciggie lighter was. Easy install as there is already accessory power behind the panel.

Hey mate,

I will come for a drive soon mate.

I had a microtech for it at one stage but I decided that it was a mega job to install it.

YOu should be right to chuck one in and wind up the boost, we did put some new rings, bearings and head about 15,000km before you got it. The motor is pretty strong.

I'm heading up the hume on Saturday, i'll drop past on the way.

Cheers mate

I have decided to take a new approach with this car, now that it seems that im going to be able to drive it on my p's I have started to make plans
for mods that i can do that are sort of undetectable, such as the cam that
I have been enquiering about and poss port the head, I plan to remove
the engine soon and i will be doing the clutch, head and be re-sealing any thing that looks like it might leak as this car will become my daily soon
so i want at least 80% reliability(100% is too much too ask from an ET i know lol). If i hurry up and get that dammn rudd money then i will still purchase a microtech but will not fit it till later on down the track till its
nessacery.

same here... i like that type of look on old school cars, i got asked a couple of times if my car was a rotor when i was waiting at a set of lights lol... reason is i did an afm relocation in my car yonks ago, instead of hooking up the idle cuircit after the AFM i accidently hooked it up B4 it, and yeah the car didnt know where the extra air was comming from and gave it fucked up fuel mixtures and made the car sound like a loud rotor lol until i fixed then it was sweet... lol no rotor here mate its a 1.5L 4 banger
