Post by R1173 »

Hey folks,
Bout time I post in this thread.

I recently bought Paull's old ET. I plan on giving her a new lease on life.

This is what she used to look like....

Yeah, she needs a bit of work, but I've seen worse....

Well I plan on giving her a full resto with subtle mods. I'd love to re-fit the RRC motor, but I need to get the intake manifold for it but I'm put prepared to pay the ridiculous prices some people ask. So it may just roll with the BRC motor.
The body & paint will stock with rolled guards. The rims will be the S12 Silvia (Gazelle) that I have on her now. She has grooved Prairie rotors already, aswell as Koni/King combo (f&r). I'll just add the Whiteline f&r sway bars I have.

The main objective will be a clean & legal stock looking ET, as I will be giving her to the Missus...

Well progress has been slow....

RRC Intake manifold arrived this week, thanks to Pulsar-Man.

Notched rear control arms re-welded them at work this week.

Bushes will get pressed out next week, then I have to get Nolathane bushes for them. I brought new wheel bearings this week. I already have new rotors & calipers. I will get it all painted before assembly.
I also want to get new handbrake cables made up & braided brake lines.

I was sort of thinking bout doin' that, depends on the cost of the bushes. I can get the Nolathane N12 bushes for $100, so if the Commo one's same price or less then it's a goer...

if that $100 for all 4 then no, they are about $100 for a pair or the better one (kmac) are about $300 for a kit.

I got a se of rear control arms from Paull, that have had the bushes replaced already, but haven't had the flanges removed. Might be willing to do a deal, instead of ruining the good bushes....
