Hi everyone.
Since the group finally got a real BB,
I cant resist the chanse of letting you know whats going on with my N12.
I know some of you are searching through my forum in Sweden
with translators trying to understand whats going on wich I think is pretty cool...
...but now I hope some less enthusiastic people might get more enthusiastic. =)

My name is Bjorn Holmberg, I live in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm.
My car is pretty rebuilt nowdays, and I have ben rebuilding it for the past 20 months.
When it left the factory i Japan 1986 it was told to be a Nissan Cherry Turbo N12.
It was brownish-grey when I bought it in December 2000. Before that I had no experience from turbo charging what so ever.

I learnt turbo charging the hard way. First engine swap was done outside on a parking lot.
After three years of tuning, and four years of ownership I managed to run 11,53 @ 402m
Then I took it apart and built what I now have.
Since its not completely finnished yet, I cant tell exactly what it is, but it IS a beast. =)

The chassie is basicly rebuilt with tube pipings. Stock rear swingarms.
Volvo 850 Turbo gearbox, driveshafts, hubs and brakes in front.

Engine: SR20DE from a P10 Primera pretty modifyed.
Saentz rods, JE pistons, Kelford cams, valvesprings and retainers, Tommei lashcaps, custom cam sprockets, ARP bolted head, Tommei MLS head gasket, Cleveite77 bearings, very ported head.
Custom exhaustmanifold, Turbosmart 45 Wastegate, Garrett GT42R, Iveco Intercooler, 50mm custom dumpvalve, 75mm Acufab Throttle bodie mounted on a custom intakemanifold.
Custom cooling system with a Meziere electrical waterpump.

Stock valves and crank.

Autronic SMC, MSD DIS4-HO, Two Bosch 044-fuel pumps, Innovative Multistep boost control.
The list could go just on and on... =)

The engine leaves 915BHP @ 8100rpm at crank with 42PSI boost. No nos.
Hoping for a nine-second pass...

Wheels: Black steel rims. 28-10-15 Hoosier slicks in front. 145-70-13 street tyres in rear.

Other: Plastic front end of body in one piece. Koni adjustable shocks

Future Plans: Build the fastest N12 in the world doesnt seem too impossible? =)

Thats a bloody brilliant milestone! Keep us up to date with your progress and times when it hits the strip.

Actually I havent got a clue about the weight.
Someware around 850-900Kg's feels like reality but I wont know for sure until its drivable.

Im planning to take the first test drive sometime the upcomming week,
and the target for that test drive will be a large truck-scale near by.
I will probably need a friend in a car behind me to protect me if the police would get intrested...
...cos its not exactly street legal.
I havent even any front lights on...

A verry short one.
Since i havent got a trigger disc
I just ran on the starter in the garage to see that the cluch was working as it should...
...but it didnt. =/

Has hopefully something to do with the hydralic cluch mastercylinder.
-Il keep you posted tomorrow.

First of all I want to tell you the last week has made hell feel like an atractive place for relaxing.
I had vacation from work to get ready for the race this weekend,
and I got ready...
...but it took a great deal of sweat and tears.

Right now Im too tired to translate the linked story,
but the main part is about our problems fixing the cluch.
It ended up that we took a master brake cylinder from a spare N12 I have,
and used it as master cluch cylinder.
It was so hard to push down I almost broke my foot,
so we had to rebuild the pedal and make it big enough
so I could use the whole foot to force it down. =)

36 hours after I first had the car ever running I ran 10,89 - 203kmh @ 402m!
It weigth 1040Kg, and for the 10,89-run I used about 500-550hp. 18PSI boost (41-42 gives 915hp)

Here are some images that I took and the story, but thats in Swedish.
Pics are at the bottom, so just scroll down:
