Well, good question. I had to cut out the hole plate and had to rebuild it in 3 pieces. Then i needed to weld those 3 pieces and after that i had to put it all back together in the car. Then a good layer of filler and it was as good as it could be. Would never be like OEM anymore but i think it's about 90%.

Yesterday i picked up some nuts and bolts:

my deadline is now end of februari! Hope i will start and drive then!

Where did you get all those tidy smaller parts, hose tighteners and so?? New ones from a Nissan importer? I'tried cleaning up old rusted smaller parts with Annitrol (phosphorous acid rust remover) baths. Cleaned parts doesn't have that goldish surface anymore..

Tnx mate! I have brought them to a metal-shop and they have galvanised all the bits and pieces for me. Costs about 150 euro's incl.

So now i'm working on my supspension! All taking apart, clean it with some fuel, sand it down till there is no rust anymore and then 2 layers of highgloss rustprotectend coat!

All the rubbers etc will be changed by brand new parts from "Moog".

Hi all!

Yesterday i took a day off to get the E15ET in my car! Over here it's freezing with -10 and also my garage wasn't much above zero so it was a hard day and today every muscle in my body says "Rens, f*ck off"

We had a very good day. At first we builded the engine complete incl. gearbox etc. Then we managed to put on the supspension. In the main time i went to the nissandealership to get some parts, they were all on stock so it all went very easy! Within 10 minuts we managed to lift up the engine and put it in the enginebay. A bit later also the new exhaust was on.

Oh I might add that's one big useful can of wd40 in this photo. That would cone on handy.

Tnx all! That big bottle of WD40 has been the hero of the day for several days haha!

I first have to try to fit the wheels on the rear , thay maybe must be welded to smallen them to 6J. After that i will recoat them!

Well the last night i was trying to get the loom on it's place but it's pretty hard work. A lot of wires are to long ore to short and some connectors are different then the connectors i have on the car. Luckely i have a spare 1.3 loom so i use this to get original wires on the turbo-loom with the same color etc. Now i'm done with the left side of the enginebay. Just need 2 more days to get all the wiring sorted. As you can see it all looks totally OEM:

Hi all!

Now i'm working on the wheels. They get a polished lip and the inner part will be Nissan MKAD.

They are now in the primer:

And the MKAD is this color:

Choise for the tyres is also made.. 195-50-15 Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2.

And because the wheels are a bit to wide i have ordered 10mm spacers and new wheel studs!

And hopefully this saturday a starting engine. Till now it cranks, it has a spark but it doesn't get fuel. The injectors are stucked and needed replacement. Luckely i found 4 good ones and they are now cleaned.

Well, it's time for some great news! Last saturday we have tried to get the engine running. The injectors were stucked and the fuelrail was mounted on the wrong side of the engine (lhd vs rhd). After a change of injectors and a new fuelrail i turned the key. And directly it fired and the engine came alive with a deep grow! Lovely! The engine runs sweet and there are no strange sound or what so ever in the motor. After about 15 minuts of running we found a couple of oildrops on the floor. These were comming from a seal from the jack shaft. it must have been damaged with mounting so i will buy a new one and try it again.

I also sprayed the wheels in Nissan MKAD and gave them a clearcoat.
