If you must run head shims always use copper and have the block "O"ringed.

Annealing needs to be done each time the gasket is re-used.

Hi
I am investigating fi options, last one I found is this
www.fueltech.com.br
I was worried about the squish effect and all that, but the e15et has its piston 2 mm under the deck height
Diego, a single oem torqued gasket has 1 mm height
My car has 4 mm (2 mm copper 'gasket', and two 1 mm torqued oem gaskets above and under the copper one)
An interesting 'side effect' is that with the head 3 mm 'higher' timing was retarded around 5-6 crankshaft deg
Guess what, thats the oem e15et timing ;)
Btw no detonation after lowering the cr, I got comments about detonation when lowering the cr because of losing the squish effect...
I run 20 deg initial advance and 35 total
Retards around 7 deg at 10 psi
Hope the ic can be installed this weekend
I am considering the megasquirt option too
Peace
