Callumgw - 84 EXA
Cheap braided isn't always worth it in the end..Speaking from experience..As you said you wanted to be able to change it if needed etc,,Personally i think it's a good idea
My old exa I created from granny spec to a neat little BRIGHT car: http://forum.n12turbo.com/viewtopic.php?t=3903

Easter updates
Been doing a bit here and there over the past few months; nothing spectacular, just a bit when time allows.
I got a new radiator made up by Aussie Desert coolers. The one that was there I got off another exa I wrecked and the fit between the turbo was too small, so it rubbed on engine load. The radiator is now the same configuration as the original, but narrower to allow for the cooler pipes. But as with all things, these small changes meant I has to fashion new mounts, new hoses and adaptors, adjust the cooler mounts and pipes and get new fans.
So here the new radiator:
Better clearance:
New mounts:
New lower radiator and cooler mounts:
Intercooler is now a bit further forward:
Pipe work changes:
The old 12 inch fan doesn't fit anymore, so here is two 10 inchers:
Lower Bracket:
And for those not reading the articles section, I also made a new cap as part of the Haltech install, which is slowly ongoing.
Now I'm fiddling with the cut-off switch and external pull cable for it. Then it'll be power to Haltech and check everything and reassemble, then check tune and run.

some Easter progress, first updated shots of the engine bay:
I also moved forward on the cut-off switch install. Decided to feed it into the dash:
This bit was a bit of luck, I used one of these and cut a 9x1.25 thread in it, then centre drilled it with a small hole for the cable and drilled out the inner thread to fit the cable sheath...all with hand held tools!

I know BennyET got a PWR radiator for $700tassuperkart wrote:C, what was that radiator worth to get made up?
Reason I ask is it might be worth looking towards a group buy as radiators are getting mighty thin on the ground now in good condition.

about $800, there was some cash price negotiation which lowered it a bit, so worked out about $700. I'd also recommend some pipe changes, the narrow design makes the bottom hose a bit of a fudge.
Let me know if you decide too, if its before mine is filled then I'll run it back and show them the adjustments.

That's not what I meant. I meant that it's nice to see you've been doing quite a bit of work on your engine lately! Awesome! I want to wire up a HalTech into my car too, in the distant future when my E15ET sits in my engine bay...Callumgw wrote:it does get messy in there, thats true.
(been watching HalTech videos on Youtube for quite a while now, some time last year I got bitten by the engine management bug )
