It needs a good paint job first. But its still rego'd so no stress getting it back on the road.

But yeah I wanna take it for a spin too

Im back for another update..

Ok So I got a new Turbo... T28 Ball Bearing Swapped the old one for a new one + $1000

Image

Speaking to the guy out at Turbo Australia and he convinced me to remake the Oil Feed Line. He explained to me that if the old line (being original) had carbon build up it would be bad n shorten the life of the turbo if it was to dislodge out of the pipe n straight into the turbo.... Plus the Standard Line was just out of shape n not quite an easy fit to the new Turbo Setup compared to the original T25G Setup I had.

Here is the Old Line compared to the new Braided Line

Image

and the 90º bend on the pipe for easy fitment.

Thats about it for me now...
Till next time, Ta Ta!

For those who want a braided oil line on the cheap...

Image Image

That was done using the ends of the old line. Less than $100.

Yeah, mine was $89.10 From Pirtek so its not a bad buy, especially if you are not sure on what turbo to stay with, it gives you the freedom of more move-ability.

Now does anyone know haw to start the car the first time with a new Ball Bearing Turbo??? I have to find out before I crank it over for the first time.

Correct me if I am wrong

But dont you undo the oil line you and squirt some special oil into the turbo then reconnect and start??

Think I might have read that on a forum somewhere.

Have you done a Google search?

i'd just crank it without spark for 10-20sec or so. as ball bearing turbos don't require much oil it'll get enough in there.
I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense.

All plugs out, crank over until oil pressure registers. All you need to do.

Shit man money makes everything move.. like my car. I've got an issue where I ran out of money and I need more money then I intended... you would never know hey? This car is just taking way more money then I say. If I had of known that is never had bought a car like this! HAHAHAHA J/K. But it is taking more money then I wanted. Plus I haven't gave much time into it. I've started my saving again, plus I picked up a second job for funds on this car. AND the misses is still ok with it

The turbo does sound fucking sweet the few minutes I had the thing running. Can't wait till I feel the pressure of the turbo forcing me back In the seat.

Patients n it will be back on the road... but si can't fucking wait!
Thanks kane you have given me a little more drive.

Ok a quick long time over due update....

So in the last few months i have been working 2 jobs to earn more money to pour back into this beast. So now I'm back up to par to get it back in the shop to complete what i started to do... LIKE 12 months ago.....

So I got my finger out and got the car ready for going to the Tuner, for the 2nd time. (fingers crossed this will be the last till i get the multi coil setup)

Its booked in for MONDAY and I CANT WAIT!!!

I dusted off the side skirts to dummy fit them to see how they sat.

Image

And I had to get the rear spoiler on so the guys knew where the Exhaust would end.

Image

NOW, Just a few shots of the engine bay as it sits today....

Image

Here you will find how far the turbo sits from the radiator

Image

AND from the engine itself

Image

Hopefully its not long till its able to drive.
KANE, be patient young grasshopper the day will come. I would love to have a strap along side you.

My mate has a R33 series 2 he wanted to do some "basic" mods to and ends up doing a NIStune, Blitz intercooler, and a tune.... GUESS WHAT DAY he has his R33 booked in for???? 1 day after mine! AT THE SAME TUNER!, SO..... I am thinking or offering the shop a "bonus" if they can "delay" my mates car, as I'm in earlier I SHOULD... be out earlier, even if his tune might take less then mine. Heheheheheheheheh

Happy browsing fellow worshipers,
The so close to driving I can smell burnt rubber on everything.. N I mean EVERYTHING...
