Yeah, might be one of the ones I'm thinking of.
Does it plug into the bottom of an old Nokia 5110?
Was pretty cheap and easy to build if you have good eyes and are handy with small soldering. I guess I take it for granted a little considering it omething I often do for work, kinda forget that some ppl don't find it easy, like me with auto gearboxes...... BAH! Black Majick I say!!!

the system is $700 and plugs into existing car alarm, and if u dont already have a car alarm your stupid and deserve to have ur car stolen anyway. always try and be smarter than the thief

Heh... guess what this dude does...

He makes these ATM; I was helping him build em earlier this year.

They're digital video recorders, designed to be plugged into the video feed from a movie camera, to replace the tape-based units they still use for reviewing a shot before the film's been processed. They do all kinds of groovy tricks too, you could just about produce an amateur movie with one of these, and even do some special effects... Not bad for about $9000, when you hear the tape ones go for about $100,000...

Funky kit.

The dude's a wizard... unfortunately, I'm sure he's got no shortage of other mates wanting similar favours... though if a few people wanted em, and they could be made cheap enough to sell, he might be interested... for less than, say $500, would there be any takers?

Whoops! Why didn't I spot this earlier? Must have been paying too much attention to 'gearbox' woes.

No members ride, I'll have to pull my finger out.

Brilliant idea!

You can spot the sun shade in my front yard with the zoom on that thing!
