tried doing hbrake cable today damn it hard when ur cars on superlow springs haha so ill leave that till next wekend when i got more light and the jack out and ill do the rear pads at same time, put my old woodgrain steering wheel back on today off my exa and new saas stainless/leather gearknob, played with the boot today as well trying to decide where im gonna put my 2x 10inch and massive 1400w amp hehe, have decided to go for whole new solid floor and flush mount the amp in the floor and make either of 2 deisgns of boxes for the subs at each side just behind the taillights in that little bit of area between the wheel arches and taillights

today i did the hbrake cable, dam was a bit harder then i was told hehe ended up snappinmg both split pins on the caliper head thing so had to run down to bunnings at 530 this arvo to find more hehe

ok note for other dont ever ask me to change pads for u ok.
fuck its hard taking off the old pads no probs...getting the pressure booster thing to go back inside the caliper head near impossible, i took it right off, disconeccted all cables, lines, bleeder plug and used a 6' clamp to try and push it back but stuff that hehe so atm its hanging on the side on the disc brake hehe waiting for my dad to give a shit and help me do it hehe

apart from that ready for rwc, just needs now...mp3 headunit and me to get around to redoing the door cards and installing speakers in it and doing my custom budget boot install

Do you already have the subbie drivers? Cause woofers have a fairly critical spec known as 'Q', which is a measure of how much they damp oscillation (ridiculously in-depth Wiki article), and relates to the optimum volume of the enclosure...

I'm thinking that little bit behind the wheelarches is gonna require some drivers with an unusual Q factor...

Actually, now I browse around for helpful links, it seems there's a fucken arseload of relevant specs...

This seems to be a good place to suss the scenario: http://www.diysubwoofers.org/

well my subs are freeair so the box volume isnt important, im told i can run then freely, but if i put some sort of enclosure, not mattering on size itll give it a little bit deeper and clearer then just running as free air

ok spent the weekend doing the brake pads and assorted crap noe ready for the dreded rwc inspection, if i can find a easy going mobile guy to do it *cough cough* so i dont have to stuff around getting temp rego to drive it to a mechanic hehe

also sussed out my boot install, and started remaking the door cars properly this time thanks to one of the previous owners hehe
they will be covered in red to match the outside of the car hehe

got new 3way 6inch fusion speakers for the front door and angled pods for them as well

will go back on the weekend to get 2x 4inch for the rear to take up the smaller holes above the boot for ambiant sound, then i go ahead with a new boot floor, a good solid one since the stock ones are alwyas water damaged and warped to shit, and this has to support the weight of my flush mounted amp in it hehe, and ill puyt support brackets behind it as well to give it proper structural support, then ill eaither buggerise around making 2 small flush mount boxes for my 2 10inch subs and put a nice carpet over it all, feshen the car up heaps, gotta give it its long overdue 22yo facelift hehe already don the paint and engine overhauls

will need new gearbox, possibly a n13 LSD box if i can find one, and possibly if my wallet accepts it a new heavy duty clutch as well, but ill hold the clutch for now and concentrate on new gearbox 1st

ok fine then have it ur way :x lol

either way i need a new box hehe as the last person took all the bushing out and it feels like playing a game of daytona at the arcade hehe as it has not smooth shifts its all rough straight into gear and dosent seem to hold locked in reverse as thats the most gear ive used so far hehe since i cant take it no the streets to give it a good thrashing hehe, but hopefully next week ill have rego sorted for it so i can finally have some fun in it

first make sure all you engine mounts are OK, this can cause gear selection hassles, (mainly on 5th though)

meh so was mine but it lasted 247,000ks rofl actually its getting ready to be run again.

if its the bushings for the shifter linkages then a new box isnt gunna help sorry to say, its still gunna feel like a 2 dollar hooker. its not a rwd box the shifter doesnt go into the box itself its remote
