Awesome, I had been meaning to recover that for over 2 years lol, that's how long i had that other cover for :P

is the remaining red on the roll bar?
Should be easy to trim, I just couldn't be bothered undoing the seat belt. Was thinking of just painting it but i had that black fabric...

looking forward to pics.
When's it on the road?

in all honesty dude these cars are shit but they have so much character, are fun and go fairly well when running right. we still play around with these things because they are a fun addictive little shitbox! :D - Ash

so just did a bit of work to the vert, got rid of a few things that were annoying me. tried to fit carpet to it too, didnt come out great, but some carpet is better than none i guess. (reason i had trouble is cause of all the extra double panneling on the interior, so i had to modify the standard carpet to fit best it could). some of the iterior is still red, just painted black, and is starting to get scratched up and the red coming through, so swapping all of it from the silver car. also got around to removing majority if the chrome stripping that joel loves so very much, was every where. and there are a few bits that are covered in a micro fibre type fabric that i dont really like, so i'm in the process of fixing that up too.

red bits and no side covers

more red bits and no carpet

fabric on tops of doors and on glovebox. was also on A pillar trims and a few other places

a absolutely hate chrome of any kind, so the steering wheel spoke will be getting wraped in 15mm black cloth tape (the electrical type). should look good then.

other than that, my drivers window motor gave out a couple of months ago, getting a new kit for it soon as i cant find the motors on thier own, and an auto sparky wont touch it.....

also still trying to get a hold of a pair of idf 40 webers at a reasonable price, so if anyone out there has, or see's something (besides whats on flea bay) could you please let me know.

Hey Kane,
This has a power steering rack right? Could you pop up a couple of pictures of the rack installed, mainly near the steering column.

Cheers,

I'm interested in how different it is from a n13 rack. For people want to put PS into exa/et's an the N13 is a good start because it's easy to find, the right size (pivot points/length/mounts), but it has some fitment issues. So installed would be good to help that too.

Cheers,

C

Beautiful work! The outlet run from the side not like the n13 that run two from the front and two from the rear. So the n13 is not likely to work in a powered form....

Also the top of the pinion is a smidge lower than the n13, but not much so the intermediate shaft height is similar to the one I made for the de-powered n13.

Thanks Dude, I'm going to link those pict's into the article for info if thats OK.
