kane's Pulsar NX Vert updated 21/01/2017
old thread:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
update on car:
got a call from upholsterer today, he was stressing that he couldnt do the job.
there is a wire that runs both sides of the top which pulls the roof in tight to the seal so its watertight.
the wire is a very small gauge and it also twined together and he was worried that the wire would just shear thru the new roof.
i went over to brainstorm and came up with the idea of just replacing the wire with a larger gauge with a rubber coating... problem solved.
we then went and dismantled the rear half of the interior and pulled the roof off.
tomorrow arvo i am going to be driving the car from the upholsterers to the painters to get some initial work done.
some areas can't be painted once the roof is finished so its going to get done now.
then the car is going back where the roof will be fitted.
then im driving back to the painters to dissassemble the rest of the car ready for painting where the colour will be transformed.
this is what it will hopefully look like within a couple of weeks
(minus the bn front which is an addition that will happen in the near future)
this is what it looked like about an hour ago, ready for priming.
he said he will prime it later and depending on how it goes maybe even do an initial coat of blue.
we were going to wait for the roof to be done...... but its a perfect day for painting!!
