mate you should keep it standard and look after it.

ET's in that condition are hard to find nowadays!

quite clearly keep it mate, take the turbo off untill your off your P's. people have done it before.

and yeah, keep it pristine . . . . it is a 20+ year old piece of history!

and one very slick piece of history at that! ;)

that is why i would be keen on your ET if you ever wanted to sell it ....but anyway ...nice ET , dont do any mods to it , keep it unmolested ... :D

.yer , my Mazda is in extremely original condition too , when i got it off the lady , she only bought it 6 months before that , off an old grandma ..when she got it off the granny it still had plastic on the doortrims and all the seats , bar the drivers ....

Hey Tim - welcome!
That ET is really clean mate....very nice!
I'd recommend that you head to VICROADS A.S.A.P. and make sure the ET is OK on your P's. Fingers Crossed for ya mate.....if it's not it's a biiiiiig fine, not sure about VIC but you might even loose your licence. You might just have to keep it in the shed for a couple years!

Yeah i probly should check out the VicRoads legislation. I once had a massive long list of cars that P Platers arent allowed to drive, but i cant find it, it was on the web somewhere. If someone could find me a link that would be much appreciated :)

I think the list in now gone.... and ALL turbos are banned unless they are on the OK list, which includes such rocket ships as the Charade Turbo and Golf Turbo Diesel. If you already had your Ps then the old list applied, but new P plates = new rules. You aren't the first on here that had to give their pride and joy, ACDC5 had to give up a lovely custom car he'd spent a lot of time building.......
