hey cheers mate, and cheers benTaxel. the color is slightly darker than the original but damm if you get it in full sunlight you can see the two layers of blue pearl just shine out. its awesome, truly an awesome job.

its currently back at the repairers getting the few areas that didn't work out fixed, and before i take it back off his hands i will be having the side skirts and rear skirt attached . . . . .then all i need is "shoe's".

haha, i have been convinced to look into mini superlights in a 16" power coated white with a 8 inch offset. so it will resemble something along the lines of a dune buggy.

(if 16" proves to hard to fit with the offeset, i may go with a 15" setup.)
we shall see

but is it even possible to fit a 15/16 inch rim with a 8 inch offset on an ET?
if not what kinda modifications would be needed?

(cheers panda)

From what I gather, you will have to severely go the hack to fit eights...

Even with rolled guards, modified control arms etc, your offset will have to be spot-on, I reckon...

well stock is 6". i put 195's on stock rims and had scrubbage at the rear, front were fine. went back and got 185's. the rear is where you will run into problems.

i saw Android 360's exa on the weekend, has 17's, 5mm spacers at the rear to bring them away from the shock, which he had removed the dust cover from. ask him what width his rims are! car had a real nice stance with them on
I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense.

well i was initially going to have them flared, with extra metal pieces welded in and all, but that was gonna set me back about 500 a guard. so $2000 all around? i think not. i didnt have the cash then anyway, oh and woo hoo, i pick up my NPC HD clutch tomorrow. yeehaw. paying 300 to have it put it and my jap spec manifold fitted.

go 15x8 -4 offset superlights, my mate dave the owner of AJPS can supply a set for 8-900 with second hand treads...

will NEED to have guards flared to house the 8's, another good friens could flare all ure guards he has quite the experience....
i reckon he'd concider $200 a guard dnt hold me too it though...
cheers

i will have to look into it when i decide to buy some rims.

i also know of that guy dave, and AJPS the super corolla tuner, good company.

might contact him about the rims @ a later date. cheers m8.

Prolly less likely to while the paint is fresh...

You could try the budget method; get hold of a bit of PVC tube or something of the right diameter, jack the car up and slip it between the tyre and guard, carefully lower and roll it back and forth...

i dunno yet. . . .depending on how my money situation is in the next month or so . . . . .i might actually consider the 2K for flared guards.

something really has to be done about the rear tho, it sits so low, and clearly you wouldn't be able to fit any decent sized rim in there . .. .the guard hangs over the tire on mine and they are standard rims!!! WTF???
