Yeah Armco, the metal stuff that stops you falling into the deep valley's on those hills roads....

I grew up at the bottom of Anstey's hill in Adelaide there and the speed limit used to be a challenge (at 110 kph), now they've lowered (60 or 80) it its back to being a limit

haha cheers all, and yeah i love my V-Dub, cant beat that Boxer Note.

just for you Evan ill stick around and keep you posted on the mods to come . . .

number 1 is 1st and 2nd Dogbox gears (straight cut gears), no. 2 is heavy duty clutch, probably Exeedy (think thats how you spell it) and no.3 is billet shafts and strengthened transfer gears ... .my mate kept on snapping these in his 2000 rex.

(after that its coil overs and white line sway bars for the rear, anti lift kit for the front, and eventually new larger gold rims.)

final power goal . . . .220kw/s @ all four wheels.
I do realize this is along way down the track . . ..especially with this nice new loan repayments i have, haha.

I'd be doing the suspension mods first, then have the money ready in case you break the gears, You never know if you drive it mild like you suggest you may never need to spend it.

this is true but its, but i really just wanna get the gearbox done so the worry isn't there, honestly right now i don't even wanna push it hard down or up windy roads, i don't want to see wrapped around a tree. . . . .until the gearbox and suspension is done, no hammering.

well . . . ..not alot. he he

well the road that I am referring to not hammering it down is Mt lofty Summit road, joins onto green hill road. its probably one of the steepest most windy dangerous roads up in the hills, it has no "Armco" railings on any part of the road and there is at least a 15-20 foot near drop down a steep bank (really its the side of a mountain, Mt lofty?!) on every part of the road, many a skyline has met its demise down there, lots of trees tho so the people survive, their cars turn into bananas tho.

this road is evil. haha.

true true mate but i have drivin down there and all thow it is yes scary
nothing is more dangerus then good old gourge road with its of camber turns and stupid bumps on the most crushal bit of the corner and the bloody crests that seem to make you come over on a sharp bend that is a very unstable road i think

but on another note the rex looks as thoe it is a good steel specialy in adelaide all the little p platers havent got to it and stuffed it have to catch up go for a cruze when my bloody poosar is done

ET going up for Sale.

Post by Rohan 84ET »

Thats right people. have to Sell the ET, just got it back from the body shop, and its virtually immaculate, its straight, and the paint is fresh, the bonnet is Pwn, vents are moulded in very very nicely.

ill put pics up soon of it, but i am going to be setting begining price at 2.5K.

there are a long list of extras that can be bought with the car, such as:

Japanese Spec Inlet manifold
16" white 5 spoke speedy rims. (in average condition, will get pics up)
Side and rear skirts. (non painted)
Hybrid GT intercooler, (will get size soon, but its fairly large . . . . .and gold)
MicroTech Lt8s ECU (still holding its value to this day at $700)

If interested in the extras i am sure i can work out a package deal, but as most of the parts are fair quality, it wont be cheap as chips.
