13b? nope. engines in the wrong place!

GO THE MR2!

My flavour is 2lt Turbo SW20, not sure the exact horse power, but something over 200bhp quoted for the US. The Sw20 turbo came in power range of 167kw to 205kw, depending on the spec and install.

as for the trailer, I was thinking of getting something like that built to drag my exa to and from track days, to keep the all up mass down.

given the freedom to choose, all sports cars designers will mid rear mount an engine, just like all successful LeMans/GT cars, open wheel racers (inc F1), Ferrari, Audi, Lambo.......

Hell even Mazda saw the light and mid rear mounted there 20B in their leMans Car, before it was banned. Now that was a light, high reving engine!. The only real problem was that the engine case wasn't strong enough to be load bearing, so they had to add load bearing structure which increased their weight a bit.

the Mazda I was thinking about was the Lola t616 and you were right it wasn't a 20b, it was a 13b with factory peripheral port cast housing, from 1984. (acording to issue 4 RACE magazine).

long story, but I brought some S13 silva cusco fronts with the pillow tops etc.. that needed rebuilding. I got them pritty cheap from jaustech in adelaide next to pulsar parts and then took them to pedders in golden grove, and the guy that use to work there, matt was pritty good , so we pulled them apart and rebuilt them using some damper spec's that they used on there evo sponsored rally car (dont ask me what they are as they would not tell me) then we stuffed it all back into the pulsar front strut casings and welded on the thread for the height adjustment. we did this years ago when there was no other option. I believe some one makes adjustable struts now for N12s.
