yeah, they are, but i was wondering what the standard supercharger feels like in comparison to the ET's Turbocharger. weather it gives as much power increase and kick.

taken from Wikipedia.
In 1987,(1988 for the US market) Toyota brought a new choice for an engine for people longing for more power. Based on the same block and head, the 4A-GZE was equipped with a Toyota C-12 roots-type supercharger and Denso top mount intercooler. The compression ratio, valve timing and ports were modified. The engine produced a maximum power of 145 hp (108 kW) and accelerated the small car from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 6.7 to 7.0s.

^^that would depend on how moddified the Mr2 was. i'd easily take 1 to but take an mr2 with the same money and mods thrown at it as my ET and it should be a different story. they are supposed to be a fun drive at the limit!

you guys are funny! A old mazda with a 13BT with shit suspenion, old brakes, crap chassis and no moden day comforts, would not stand a chance on a winedy peace of road against a car that was designed inconjuction with lotus, toyota & ayrton senna. You can have all the power in the world but if ya cant use it properly its not worth shit. my stock MR2 use too make LS1 SS commondoors look funny uptoo about 130-140klms. in summer driving with the roof off, it was like a go-cart with a ZZR bike engine in it, I should not have sold it.
completely different style of power to turbo.

i totally agree with you dude, an MR2 would be awsome fun to drive, especially around the twisty stuff! all these 1200's, 13b turbo rx's are great for the straight line stuff but that's all.
