Quick intro....

Post by GarethSS »

Hey,

Ive been lurking around the 'E15ET' scene for about 5 years now. Ive owned 3 of em and one of them is still number 10 on the top 10

I havent got one at the moment but will buy another one a little bit down the track. Regardless I should be able to make a positive contribution to this forum.

I thought i'd share with you my current cars tho. Maybe of some interest.

First up ive got a 2001 GUII 3.0 Litre Turbo Diesel patrol. Gotta tow my toy with something 8) Not to mention go bush bashing! Plus its a NISSAN TURBO.

Second is a 05 Barina. Gotta have something that doesnt chew the juice ;)

Third is a VN SS 5 litre commodore. Had this before the barina and im going to sell it. With 165 RWKW it does killa skids for what it is

My main toy is..... A 2001 VX SS commodore (with a HSV body kit) The mods are as follows (some are in process at the moment but almost done!)

346CI LS1
228/230 @ 112LSA Cam
COMP valve springs
COMP lifters
COMP push rods (oh its a dino)
Eagle H beam rods
ROSS forged pistons
ARP stud / bolt kit
6 Speed T56 gearbox
twin plate clutch
3.73 LSD Diff
Twin 450HP KKR turbos
Twin 3 inch exhaust
600X300X76 Intercooler
Stainless pipework
Twin Bosch 044 fuel pumps
Billet fuel rails
Aeromotive Fuel reg
60LB Fuel injectors
365MM Two Peice front brakes (slotted and vented) 4 spot calipers
343MM Two peice rear brakes (slotted and vented) 4 spot calipers
Braided brakes lines
CAMS approved roll cage (ANDRA spec cage is too hard so I will drag it @ Heathcote)
Harnesses
20 Inch wheels (18's for the track)

There is plenty more but thats the better parts.

With a single GT35 and stock motor and 4 speed auto I went 10.84 @ 126MPH making about 360 RWKW with 9PSI.

This new combo im aiming for between 500 - 550 RWKW on 14PSI.

Here are some pics. I havent had time to get any updated pics  Been too busy either working or doing stuff to it!

This is with its old wheels and no brakes etc

for those of you who haven't quite worked it out yet... GarethSS is actually in the N12turbo.com Top 10... and i believe he clocked the fasted street tyres N12 in Aus before Sam Parker (N12 exa) took that crown from him.

Got a new box for it today...... will build the other one up on the side. Should be back in action on Sunday and i'll get a new AFM and tune it on Monday (having a dyno at work helps :D ) This should tide me over for a few weeks till i get the WOLF 3D 8) Then the real fun will begin

hey gareth.. you seem to be the man to ask about this!!

whats my options of supercharging or turboing a V6 commodore.. VR-VT??
Obviously i would prefer a turbo.. coming from a very quick ET.. but money is a consideration aswell. Ive heard of a turbo running off 3 cylinders.. and various other things..

^^^^^hahahaha, yep nice.

SS sounds great Gareth, are going for dyno figures or drag?

I see in that photo of fuel stuff, you have about $1K worth of speedflow fittings!! That is serious. Expensive little pricks aren't they.

Should be impressive. Looking forward to those figures.

Darren.
