i noticed you moved the log during the afm relocation did you shorten it? is that better than leaving it where it was? i am thinking of doing it myself only im looking at putting it under the battery. just have to shield the afm from road hazzards

i had i spear log so i did shorten it, i found it had to be earthed to the body for the sesnsors to work. i have done the afm relo b4 and found it a pain in the ass the warm up and the add the pipe to the log trick didnt work so i moved the sensors aswell. it is worth it as i can turn the key and it purrs like it normaly would. but putting it under the battery is not the best i dea as water from the wheel will make a mess and damage some things.BenTAxeL wrote:i noticed you moved the log during the afm relocation did you shorten it? is that better than leaving it where it was? i am thinking of doing it myself only im looking at putting it under the battery. just have to shield the afm from road hazzards

the pipe (or hose) that runs from the "log" to the pipe between the afm and turbo needs to have quite large diameter. i used about 20mm dia. coolant hose, had 10mm hose b4 and was horrible to cold start (especially in below zero (c) conditions). after changing it had no problems,spiffyn12 wrote:i had i spear log so i did shorten it, i found it had to be earthed to the body for the sesnsors to work. i have done the afm relo b4 and found it a pain in the ass the warm up and the add the pipe to the log trick didnt work so i moved the sensors aswell. it is worth it as i can turn the key and it purrs like it normaly would. but putting it under the battery is not the best i dea as water from the wheel will make a mess and damage some things.BenTAxeL wrote:i noticed you moved the log during the afm relocation did you shorten it? is that better than leaving it where it was? i am thinking of doing it myself only im looking at putting it under the battery. just have to shield the afm from road hazzards
