welder!

Post by Timmzy »

Hi MIke,

Nice work - good to see you are getting back into it. It takes a while to get settled after moving house hey?

What sort of welder are you using to stitch it all back together? Is it a Gasless MIG? Just a guess.

Reason I ask is cos its my next "save up $$ and get" thing.

:)

Darren.
Race it.

Ok, so the centers don't bolt right up as you can see by the first photo, so I'll have to get them machined a little to fit. No dramas, just a but more $$$

Ive never been one to skimp on the pictures, and that's not changing this time either! here we go

And then i realised the wheels are staggered offset! One pair has at least an inch more dish.

I might need some narrower tyres to get the stretch im after

that tyre looks waaay too big, what size is it?

Your gonna need at least a 175/50 to fit/stretch it

Its a 205 50 15 so its not to big, it will give a stretch, but not heaps. I'll look into getting some other tires if i don't think it does it justice.

Took one wheel in to get priced this afternoon. Should now costs by tomorrow. Got home and decided to rip a couple more wheels apart ready for modifying. I trial fitted one on the front end of the car (keep in mind it sits about an inch further out than it would for real)
