Any chance you're going to be hitting the track again soon?

Uschi.
I would realy like to, but the reality is with two young childs and having to take time off work is that it will probably be later rather than sooner.
I'll try and tee it up with my lady for a few weeks time and see what she says. I would even be willing to let some of my mates drive the thing!

Mind you, with the Friday nights at WSID, that should make it a little easier.

I'm sure you'ld have a few eager mates putting their hands up for a turn at talking it down the strip, that would be a hoot! Hopefully all goes well for your next outing. I'm keen to hear some results from your car, it's got the power to easily slot yourself in the Top Ten.

I remember a few years back when n12turbo.com was thriving with updated cars and some healthy competetion on the Top Ten list, seems to have died off a bit in the recent years. Though I think 2008 should see a couple new entries to the list.

Movement in the Ten has died down in the last couple of years. It would be good to see and hear from some fresh blood.

Why so? ET's and Exa's are basically identicle cars in every way, minus the body and some other minor bits. Plus there's only 6 Exa's out of a list of 29 anyway.

theres lots of difference between the two

I'd say the biggest difference would be in aerodynamics, which prolly wouldn't count for a whole lot...

Minor difference in weight and possibly its distribution.

Did Wheels or Modern Motor run em both down the strip? Might be 0.2 or something between em...

????

Same engine.
Same Chassis / floorpan.

Like Kimmo said, really only aerodynamics & weight which will count for 2/10 of a flea's fart.

Biggest difference from a functional perspective is the ET's rear discs, which has no bearing here...

Hey kimmo,

There's some magazine scans in the Submit an Article section.

Wheels had two articles on the Exa:
0-60 = 4.5 sec
0-100 = 10.00 sec
400m = 17.4 sec

0-60 = 4.5 sec
0-100 = 10.1 sec
400m = 16.6 sec

Wheels Mag for the ET:
0-60 = 4.4 sec
0-100 = 10.1 sec
400m = 16.7 sec

Modern Magazine for the ET:
0-60 = 4.1 sec
0-100 = 9.7 sec
400m = 16.85 sec

Bugger all differance really, especially in the 0-60 and 0-100 times.

i wonder what kind of time my ET would run still haven't had a chance to take it down the quarter might get mick to give it a thrash once he's fixed seeing as he's had three years to get used to the baby of mine. lol i reckon it should get in the top ten easy especially with a 20 psi tune to it.

It would be good to see something new at the pointy end of the top ten, unfortunatly the reality is that there are a few cars which on paper have the goods but time slips don't care how much power you have or what theory says the car should run.
There was a thread a little while ago where guys were posting up dyno sheets, if you have one stick it i there.

What are you expecting out of you car time and roller wise?
