hmmm in that case all should be good and the thing left to find is the last wire that connects to my insolation switch
E you seem to be very handy with this, would you know where the last brown wire is ment to connect from? or if it connects into another fusable link in a different colour?

Sorry to be picky, but a proper SLA (sealed lead acid) wouldn't provide enough power to turn over the engine (these are commonly used in emergency lighting, electric 'enviromowers', or UPS systems)... See the Century "PS" series on their website...

if your thinking of a 'maintainance free' style battery, these still vent via the tube that goes outside the car.

If your thinking of a gel/AGM (absorbed glass matt) battery, these are the pure dry cell batteries that can be safely put inside. (we fit these in caravans/ camp trailers all day at work)

If the battery is going to be used as a cranking battery only, I wouldn't go past an Optima, as the spiral cell technology allows it to be more of a dual purpose battery with plenty of cold cranking amps, and more Amp hour's more than a regualar battery.

Oddysey and other gels are only good as a second battery in a dual batt system as they like to be abused (run down alot and recharged) and are therefor no good as a crank batt.

sorry to be picky, but dont want people getting the wrong idea...

if anyone is puzzled, please call me at work (battery world lilydale) on 03 9739 7364.

Cheers,
Liam
