WILLOWBANK - The results are in!

Post by thepurplepulsar »

Willowbank on Wednesday the 28th.

It's the first time I'm having a serious go at laying down a decent time and also the last time I'll be driving the pulsar for at least 2 years, so I'm going out with a bang. Probably quite literally haha.

So anyone who wants to come and watch or participate, here's the details:

Cost
■$40 to race, admits the entrant and one other.
■Spectators $20 adults, $18 students with ID
■Children 13 & under are free

Wednesday Events
■Gates open at 5.30pm and runs commence at 6pm

Car (slower than 10.99 sec) Requirements
■helmet to Standard
■long sleeve shirt
■long pants
■covered shoes & socks

not sure about who runs the Willowbank stuff, but generally (under CAMS) these need to be low/non-flammable, so cotton and wool is ok, polyester is out.

Good luck!! I feel like doing the same when i'm prepared to sell it.

Whats with the prices? $40 to race is cheap (its $50 here) but $20 to watch?? (I thought $15 was a lot)

Got the car ready to run, removed 70kg, chocked the rear springs, fitted the slicks and dumped the exhaust. Car sounds like an absolute beast, I like it.

The weather is looking shithouse, so doubt it will be happening tonight. I'll see how it's looking in a couple hours, but I'm thinking Saturday or next Wednesday is the go.
