There is a couple of lines and a pic of Phils wagon from that night at the track in the back of the latest Zoom.

No pics of the ET though...... :(

I figured I'd throw 'this' in here as it is relavent to the car.

Phil let me have a drive of his beastie on Thursday evening. The whole bloody car is just fantastic, the level of detail is brilliant, from the cut and sewed carpet around the stainless fuel cell box with carbon fibre top panel hiding all the pumps and tank in the boot. To the wideband tech edge afr read out on the cluster and the digital microtech mini dash. Makes mine look like a bucket-o-shit.
He has just put on some 255's into the rear of the thing after widening the internal wheel arches himself.
Anyway, I know the thing is quick (10.9) but I havn't driven something capable of that pace. After taking a good few seconds it squeeze into the drivers bucket, past the ANDRA cage, and then trying to figure out the 5 point harness. Phil gives me a run down on the manualized shifter, and how to lock into reverse to get it out of the drive. "Just bang it through gears, you need to be a bit decisive or it will Just bauk."
So I back it out of the drive. The side pipe with the 1J barely muffeld drone reverbing through the cab. I'm doodling around a little to get a feel for it all and how it behaves. The whole package seems to compliment itself. Steering is tight and responsive. Throtal is just great, crusing along at 80k's in 3rd, a poke of half throtal and a split second later its onto the coverter at 15psi. Drive for a few more k's and Phil says to squeeze it. We round a round about, road is clear for a few hundred mtrs up hill. In second I nail it, BOOM 20psi, massive surge in acceleration, then it kicks out to the right!!!!!!. I do the right thing and back out of the accelerator progressivly rather than leaping onto the brake, it pulls up straight again. I then re-swallow my heart which has made its way into my throat. Pkil turns the boost down to 12psi, for a more friendly driving experience. I give it a few more pokes around the place. On this boost, it pulls like the ET, but with a longer lasting top end. A bit futher on he winds the boost back up again, and gives me the clear to stand on it again. Fark me, wrap speed plus! This thing just hauls :o .
Then to top it off, nice wide road, come past a round about, I querie the revs of the shift lights (7k). Stand on it again, wait for the shift lights, then proceed to change from 2nd back to 1st!!! BANG BANG BANG BANG goes the limiter and quick as a flash Phil shifts it back to 3rd. I litteraly shit my pants and my mind going a million miles an hour, try to figure what I have just done..................... The thing still drives true, no banging or strange noises, no oil smell or smoke, still shifts fine, engine still feels good. I may well have dodge a bullet. Phil goes back through the peek rpm values and it has only logged to 7600rpm?

This seems to me to indicate that it may have not (thank god!) gone into 1st, as I would have expected over 10k rpm to be logged and a busted ass tranny, and possibly a couple of of short metal sticks poking out of the block. Anyway, I hope that this hasn't damaged my chances of driving it again.

I think I may need to get a big RWD power fix.

If you can carry the look do it I say, it's gonna be cold though, don't forget shrinkage. I hope I can be part of this too, will look at rosters and stuff and try and make it happen.
Will be good to catch up with the northerna.

looks as though the Rolla wagon is off the road ATM, chewed out the diff bearings on a riecent track day.

But, there is a small writeup and picys in the latest Zoom/Boost mag.
