Hello,

What say the Melbourne boys go on a road trip?

I am currently floating the idea of taking 2 weeks off work (1 week either side of nats) trailering the ET up behind my calais. Having the misses fly into brisbane/gold coast/whatever having a holiday, racing/getting drunk on the w/end then driving back down the coast slowly staying at various places.

Obviously trailering the ET up and back, but who gives a shit.

Would be heaps of fun.

Callum, I smell family holiday for you? Plently of time to save/prepare.

I know my fuel bill would probably nudge $600. At 13L/100km. 1900kms each way.

But to fly my lady and myself costs $400 return anyway. $100 each way per person. On one of those new fangle Boeings (lol)

Plus accomodation somewhere in Brisbane or the Gold Coast ($$)

Anyway, just floating the idea. It wouldn't be a cheap weekend, but once in a lifetime opportunity to race with some rare and historically significant cars.

The last nationals down here at Phillip Island was fantastic, I got some good photo's.

Would also be able to catch up with QLD people too. I don't know any really well though :/

What do you think? -----> Discuss :)
Darren.

mmm, reckon I would rule out taking the Exa up, but after our Gold Coast holiday this year, I reckon it'd be possible to convice the wife to fly up with the kids again......

Why did they choose this track?

Its 150km inland from Brisbane and looks to be in a country town.

I guess Bathurst is too, but I haven't really heard of this track. Last year it was at Phillip Island.
