Yea had them custom made.

I Ghetto'd the calipers and now the wheels clear.

Took it for a spin round the block. its got some grip  It feels weird because 2nd gear doesnt wheel spin any more and just pulls like crazy :D

How much did the rims cost? I'm trying to find some now but 13x7" aren't a stock width.

Are we suppose to run bias ply on the rear aswell?

I think i'll get the exact same tyres as you Shane. Got a quote for $239 also.

Rims were $99 each. There should be some places over ur way that will widen/make up some rims for you. I was going to get 13x8, though you cannot get a single piece rim in this size, so he would have got two rims and welded them together. effectively using 4 rims, these would have cost $180 somthing each. But the 8" wide slicks seem to fit fine on the 7" rims.

Meh, i wouldnt bother about bias-ply on the rear

Well im back. Ive got good and bad news... see if you can guess the bad news before i start hahah :P

Quickest Time:

60foot - 2.09
13.33@105.46mph

Quickest MPH:

60foot -2.05
13.43@116.9mph!!!

All day the car was doing 115mph+ in 30*C heat. Which is 12 second teritory.
The last run i did was the 13.33 but blew somthing off the line, and without realising, still did the run and was my fastest yet. You can see from the mph i backed off at the end after it was going all over the place. Im not 100% sure on whats wrong yet, but it spewed its gearbox oil everywhere.

Now ive got the hang of the slicks, and once i fix it back up. Calder is on the cards for some quicker times. It will be a bit cooler at night + calder is a little stickier i think.

There were a few people from the skyline club taking pics/videos so ill see if i can find some of my car.

Shame about the damage but damn 117mph thats moving!! What happened on that run with the high mph? I would have though 2sec 60ft and 117mph would be much quicker. Did you miss a gear or something.

OH and was this with 162kw approx or did you wind more/less boost into her?

Congrats!!

I only ever missed a gear once. I dont know why i couldnt get a faster time with that mph. just all day it was doing 115mph no matter what time i ran, and when i did go low 13, the mph would be back down again.... weird.
Yea it would have similar power, i had a couple psi more (sat around 15psi most of the day) and had the BP racing fuel in it. + the heat would have knocked a bit of power off. So it should have been around that power figure.

Well looking at the top 10 leader board 117mph is enough power to run an 11!! How was the traction with the slicks?

15psi is pretty low still. You're making heaps of power for that boost.

What do you think happened to the gearbox?

Well you made it into the top 10. No 10!!

Video!
Was my very first run for the day, hence the slow time, but you can see the MPH was still quite high :D

Nice work getting into the top ten Shane! Impressive MPH for such low boost. How much weight did you end up pulling out of the car?
