QLD Willowbank Cruise 17.03.07

Post by BennyET »

EDIT:

It's that time again for another cruise. I encourange everyone that has a n12 to come along, even if its running shit/ looking shit or whatever other excuse you can come up with. It would be good to see a decent turnout, especially from ET owners as the exa's out numbered me last time about 8 to 1.

When: Saturday 17th March 2007.
WHere: Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich QLD.

2:45pm - Meet at Goodna McDonalds car park for a brief introduction/chat
3:15pm - Depart McDonalds travel as a group to Willowbank Raceway.
3:45-4:00pm - Arrive at Willowbank Raceway. Cruise participants can choose to either race or watch at own discretion.

Image

Gates open at 4:00pm, runs start at 4:30pm.

Racers need - helmet to Australian Standards, long sleeve shirt, long pants & covered shoes and a pen.

Cost

$36 to race, admits the driver and one other.
Spectators $18 adults, $16 students with ID
Children 13 & under are free.

well i got my car back on the road again (turbo rebuild) and i'm lookin to head out to willowbank to see what time it'll run before it breaks again, lmao.... :x

February has wed 14th & wed 21st coming up

anyone else ready or near completion?

racing on the highway, holding 80km/h in 2nd then flooring it.
on last run while in 2nd, stuttered and jumped around heaps but i went anyway. found third ok got stuck in fourth. no noises/grinding. 10min later getting back on the highway i changed from 4th to 5th at about 3000rpm then BANG, grinddddddddd. can't find any gear, stuck in neutral.
have to see what happened when i tear it down

first box i've ever broken for 5 years now

How was your gearbox fluid?
High RPM and shitty/cheap fluid will do that.......

Hope your other one is OK.

fluid was less than a month old, full awsell. just replaced the reverse switch to stop a leak. its castrol oil, can't remember which one

i keep everything on this car a1, the whole engine is reco'd/brand new parts etc, except for gearbox lol.
i'm jinxed, i know it now. will be up for sale once i get this other box on.

just reco'd the turbo at gcg, new engine mounts, new head, block, pistons etc.
will do a for sale this week sometime.
