Ca18 mount question

Post by Valentich »

Hey guys,
Question about Ca18 swap
The Nissan prairie came out with a ca18s motor,
and I am thinking about swapping my second prairies motor.
the first (Ugly duck) got the E15t motor, which was basically a straight drop in.
I can get the Ca18s mounts from England, I was wondering if the block would be the same for the ca18s and the ca18de.

I'm sure the mounts would not be good enough for a det, but for a stock de, it might make the prairie a decent daily driver.

The main reason is to give it a little more power and as they came out with the 1.8 and using stock parts,
getting an engineers cert will be much easier

IIRC the only difference in CA18 blocks is the oil jets for pistons. (CA18S doesn't have, CA18DE doesn't have, CA18DET has,)
