Fitting radiator and turbo

Post by rubixcube101 »

Here's one for those with experienced ET frustration...

How the hell do you get the turbo (t25) and radaitor in??? I can see theres clearance, ive clocked my turbo so that there is. The trouble is fitting it with the stock manifold. I've tried turbo first then radiator, and that was troublesome, now ive tried fitting the radiator first and then the turbo. No luck.

Whats the best way of doing it? Should i grind back the turbo studs a bit or is that a bad idea? Was tempted to maybe try and lift the engine but then i'm not sure which mounts to undo, this is also time consuming proceedure.

Help appreciated :) thanks guys.

bit like a Lipton's tea bag mate, gotta jiggle it

with the turbo on
try putting the bottom left corner in first it give you a bit more room to move

mine goes in and out on about 45 from the passenger side

it a bitch but it works

with the t28 i have to remove both the top and bottom raditor mounts to get it in. should give you heaps of room once you've done that.

Cheers guys, got it all in after putting my turbo back on the manifold and removing the mounts as suggested. Slotted in from the top, just had to reclock the turbo a bit more for clearance.
