wheel alignment

Just wondering what would cause my wheel alignment to be normal one minute, then reasonably hard pulling one direction the other, then back to normal, then the other direction lol.

I was thinking the only thing it could really be to affect the car in all three directions is wheel bearings, does this sound about right? And if so, are they hard to do? I was under the impression that the et front wheel bearings are double row.

Jack the car up & give the wheels a wiggle, another thing is a bad wheel alignment that will follow the road

Might be the same problem I had years ago with the green machine --
Used to do the same thing and I got under it after driving it home from Newcastle to find that the 2 bolts holding the steering rack in were loose, and the other 2 missing.
I'm sure I have a photo here somewhere .....

Very dangerous, & old rack bushes could effect it

i had a brand new rack put in about 3 months ago.could bad wheel bearings on one wheel cause this? I know the passenger front bearings are a little worn. This also causes my whole front end to feel like it is "drifting" when i drive, I did mention this earlier in another post. It feels like there is a momentary lag between my steering wheel movement, and the movement of my car.

If it could be the bearings, is it a bastar to change them?

It's easier to check those bolts man, regardless of how recently you had the rack put in.

I think our cars are fairly strongly affected by road camber; they seem to pull downhill more than a lot of cars.

But that doesn't sound good... like the rack is loose.
