down low grunt

Post by poeticjustice88 »

Just after some ideas on how to get a bit more down low power.

What would be the best course of action to take ?

Different gear set?
Cam?
1.21 Jiggawatt Flux Capacitor?
NOS?

I knwo its a very general question, but I am simply curious. As we all know these ol' girls require a bit of the loud pedal and some PSI to really get moving, just want something for the Pre-Boost side of things.

Cubic Inches M8!!

Not a lot you can do with an old school 1.5l down low really!
You might get someone to grind you what amounts to a "Towing Cam" which will promote low down but it will tend to flatten out pretty much higher up.
pretty expensive experiment tho.

Have fun

smaller turbo that spins up faster.
steer clear of wild cams
up the compression a little
improved induction, Most OEMs now have bellmouth intakes because they do help. but you find then built into the airbox behind a flat filter - not a pod.
More CC (As E said)
stroker.

There is actually a 40-something year old lecturer, at my University, who teaches electronics and pronounces "giga" as "jigga".
"JiggaWatts"
"JiggaBytes"
"JiggaPascals"
"JiggaHertz"
etc. etc.

The funniest thing is apart from this lecturer, that movie is the only place I've ever heard it pronounced that way. I actually asked him during a lecture once, if he watched that movie a lot as a kid. He said he's seen it a few times.
