ECU Relocated

Post by Kaine_ET »

Heya People! New here and just after some advice.

But first off i would like to thank "80DGY2" for all the help his been with activating my account on here and other bits and bobs.

Ok, well I have recently bought a very rough ET, so I've stripped it down, fixing things as I go. First thing i noticed was where the ECU was mounted. So i decided I would move it, and i mounted it behind the glovebox. Now my question is, will this cause damaged? Like would it get knocked more and cause it to fail? Im planning to replace it with a microtech anyway but for the time being i dont want this thing to break on me! Any advice would be helpful!

Cheers Guys/Girls

much better place to put it. thats where my microtech, mounted to the back of the gearbox, not going to get kicked up there!

Id also cable tie the plugs in for that extra security!

He didn't say anything about the engine bay! Clearly the gearbox is mounted in the glovebox to keep the ecu company.
