et disc conversion question

Post by ctchme »

hey guys, was looking at finishing off converting my exa from drum brakes to disc, and was wondering if its possible/easier to swap the exa master cylinder for an et master cylinder rather than adjusting the proportioning valve
1984 Exa, T2 turbo, 8psi, adjustable fpr, 850cc injectors, megasquirt 2 ecu, E85 fuel, black dash, black boot and bonnet, 14's wrapped in 215/50 BF Goodrich tyres

It can be done, you have to also change all the lines. That said it will not mean you end up with optimally balanced brakes because the mass distribution of the Exa and ET are different.

Bias

I had all the intention of working this one through, but didn't get enough laps in the exa to do it justice. Also the weight distribution of mine was different to a road car, with all the rear weight removed.....So Ben's advice and articles are probably the best start.
