NA engine

Post by Damo »

Does anyone have a NA E15 (e13 or e16 for that matter) in bits that they can take so pics of?

I want to find out if the NA E15 have the tapered wrist pins.

I have the old Gregorys workshop manual for na.

It's on offer if you need to borrow it

Hey Martin, a pic of the piston side on to get a good look at the end of the piston pin.

No worries Dexi, I have the workshop manual, but it shows no difference between either.

It must be the photo, they don't seem to taper much. I had a set of tapered pins in a old set of slugs in the past, and my machine bloke told me that 'they' were the pins of choice when guys were chasing power. A few years later and a little wiser :D , it has dawned on me at some stage in the future I am going to build a donk with all the advantages I can.
For the internal bits, the lighter the better (as long a strength isn't compromised), so a lightened set of stock rods and the 20gram lighter tapered pins for the high revving win.

Yep Martin, they are the ones. Do you know if they are for a N/A engine?
