Reinstalling Injectors

Post by congers87@hotmail.com »

When reinstalling the stock injectors do I need to place the injector seals in their housings, in the runners and then install the injectors and tighten. Or do I place the injector seals around the pintle caps, align the injectors and install and then tighten it all up.

I'm worried one way won't produce a tight seal.

Cheers,
Chris

Ive just left them on the injectors. But whatever works.
Once you tighten the retaining screws it will all tighten down.

Cheers. I went that approach. I gave up trying to push the injectors into the seals while the seals were already in their housings. I just pushed the seals all the way down the pintle caps, located the pintle caps into the bores in the runners and tightened up evenly. Wolah, sealed up fine. Talk about making a mound out of a mole hill.

Thanks,
Chris
