Distributor concerns

Post by micksetn12 »

Thought i would ask to see if anyone else has had this concern.
Im trying to get all the parts to finish off my et the issue i have is the rotor buttons listed in the bosch catalogue both part numbers that are supposed to be correct for the car do not match iv done some research through diffrent threads and it appears that there is three diffrent distributors that where used.
The issue that i have with the rotor buttons is they will not fit on to the shaft of the distributor.
I did have the old rotor button which was worn badly but the when ordering the parts they took it for a sample and i never got it back.
The part numbers listed in the bosch catalogue are

04.84 12.85 PN: GH651
01.86 07.87 GH643

If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated.

I can take photos if that does make life easier. :D

Go Nissan genuine.
If you ask nicely, they will look up the jap spec dissies on their worldwide parts catalogue, which use those strange rotors.
From memory, there are only 2 types of buttoms in the 3 types of dissies.

i whent to my local nissan dealer today they located the part number that i require but the part is not avalible now.
Can i swap the distributors over without a problem? i have pulled the covers off to inspect the both of them and one of them is a mitsubishi cas and the other i assume is an hitachi. is there any other issues or anything i will need to swap to make it all work? ecu ?
