E15s carb and AT transmission

Post by moonriver »

I've got a carb question.
We've got a Nissan Liberta Villa N12, E15s, automatic transmission, experiencing some carb problems. We can't find any carb-rebuild kit or any similar carb to swap. According to multiple sources, there was 3 or 4 types of carb installed on E15 engine, but in theory, can we replace our carb with more popular and simple Solex carb? As it's native carb is very complex, i just want to know, is there any vacuum line or specific cable from carb to AT? Or Solex will fit without any troubles? Can anyone answer?

Thanks a lot.

PS: we've got some pictures of the carb:

Sorry M8 but none of us use autos or carbs.
And the ones that do use carbs dont modify them.

Bottom line is you can make any carb off a similar sized engine work.

Good luck.

I have a carb (n12, E15 engine, auto) and had to return the kit because it was the wrong one.

The counter staff were insistent it was the right kit for my car - there was only one kit in their parts catalog. Clearly, that is nonsense.

Anyway, maybe contact Nissan to see if you can get a kit?

I'm no expect, but what's wrong with the thing?
