E15ET Turbo Automatic transmission WANTED

Post by bristol »

I have just placed an add asking for anyone wanting to sell an original automatic transmission from an E15ET. I dont mind if it needs reconditioning or a good one as long as it is an original Turbo automatic gearbox.
I have found out the turbo Autos have 2 extra plates and other beefy bits inside. I am running a modified E15ET motor in an S Cargo and want to keep it original Auto but keep blowing up the original S Cargo ones.
Im keen to build a new auto for it but would like to start with a genuine Turbo Auto from a pulsar or any E15ET.
I have found you cant modify a standard one to a turbo one as the internals are different and can only just get 4 plates in and not 5.
If anyone has any info or an auto to sell please e mail me at david.wilkens@xtra.co.nz
Interested in any opinions to.
Cheers

Ive only read about these autos from an original Nissan E15ET book but never seen one. They must exist but obviously hard to find. Cant find one here in New Zealand either.

Not sure on the E13 but started to remove mine tonight to start again.
Still keen to find out any info on genuine E15ET autos as they did make them but where did they go?
Going to strip it again and see why its loosing pressure.
Hopfully up and running again late next week.
I better figure out how to post a picture of this thing on here so you can all have a laugh.
Thanks everyone for help so far.

I have the Import and Local N12 Australian parts catalogue, neither of them list E15ET automatic.
Model variations are 5spd manual only

The n/a automatic listed is RN3F01A available in both 3.6 final and 3.364 diff.

I don't personally see why people would want an e15et with auto.

You can't have any fun with them at all.The carby that i have with the auto box that came with it from stock only give's you the satisfaction of high revs on a kick down. There is absolutly no difference in speed or power. I understand if you mounted it to an E15ET you probably would gain some feel of power on a kicked down but it would no way be as near as what we would have on the manual boxes when we drop a gear.

Correct me if im incorrect but theE15ET's are known for the performance because of the engine and mainly the gear ratios on the manual gearbox?

Sorry about the RANT...
