Paul
You have the stuff there to make this problem go away.
You know I KNOW this.
So, get you finger out of your arse and fit it.
Its a straight wire in, no pull-ups NOTHING. Now stop rooting around with that ancient stuff and bravely step into the new world which is sitting in a box in your cupboard.

So...nearly 4 months on I decided it had to be temp sensor related and went and checked the wiring. About time I got off my arse. I found a bad solder joint that came apart when I pulled on it. The thing is running again. Pity really as I was saving a fortune in fuel. :)
