Wiper Squirter Motors

Post by TimmyET »

Looking over my pulsar and the front washer bottle doesn't work.
Checked the obvious - made sure there was power getting through.
no unusual resistance. Swapped the wiring and the wiring for the rear runs the front. so the motor works. but the wiring for the front motor won't run the back.
Confusing seeing i still have power through the wires.
Any ideas or anyone with a similar problem.
Probably gonna have to bite the bullet and go auto elec. :P

Did you check the voltage across both of the pins in the plug, or across the positive one and some other part of the car?

I tried to replace my washer motor with one from the wrecker's but stuffing around with another old one proved a waste of time as it was fucked too. So I just went to Bursons and got a Nissan wiper motor for like $5.

I had to secure it with a zip tie, but the plug fitted.

Well it was actually my mates that did all the checking with the multimeter and wrote the original post on this and whatnot because they knew more about electronics than I do and they were pretty baffled. Im pretty sure we checked the voltage across both pins because they said that theres constant power to the pins and it earths to create the circuit or something. But yeah I'll just go find a new wiper motor I think n see what happens

negative sid switched.

The wires will be "hot" all the time.

Its got to do with your switch on the steering column Id suspect.
