off the subject a bit but what gear box you using and is it a straight bolt up?

Errrmm IIRC the E series engine shares the bolt patter from an old A series engine.
Thats Datsun 1200/120Y Sunny etc along with the biger A series engines found in the old Nissan Fairlady and Nissan Bluebird open top sports cars.
