rebuild box with n13 internals!! article HELP

Hey mate,

Just a question in regards to the rebuild box with n13 internals!! article what n13 box did they use? what car was the box out of?

the reason i'm asking is because i have an n12 box and a n13 box off a CA18DET and the gearbox guys reckon the internals don't fit any help would be great guys,

18LE is the 1.8lt version in the N13
16LE is the 1.6lt version in the N13

either of these would be fine, just depending on the ratios you want. check out the excel chart i made to figure it out.

also i believe you put all the N13 internals into the N12 diff/clutch/bellhousing side of t he gearbox casing and then you put the hollow colver off the N13 box onto that housing.

You use the n12 casing. and swap over everything except the diff hemisphere.

When you say 18LE and 16LE i'm guessing you mean there out of the n13 langley? is there any other nissan that has these box's.

the LE motors were the bog stock motors that the n13 came with, they were TBI and MPFI.

They were also in the camira's

they look like this.

hmm.. we had to use the other half instead.. thats odd. the N12 casing (not the bell housing side) was not deep enough to fit the main shaft of the n13 internals in it. with the N13 back casing it still mounted up to gearbox side mount but came a full 20mm closer to the chassis rail onteh battery side..

its actually a 16LF we have an N13 and thats what beasty engine it has :)
