does everyone elses et have a crap hand brake
my sister standard drum brake pulsar hand brake locks the wheels
my et hand brake bearly slows it down
how can i make it better

adjust the cable underneath the car, it might not be pulling it on enough.
You might even need to rebuild the rear calipers. I just rebuilt myn and polished up the piston and the handbrake works perfect now! :D

3 clicks and it locks the rears.

Ive had a look at adjusting mine... but i cant seem to get it right! Dunno exactly what to do... My handbrake lifts to an almost vertical position :lol:

sounds like your h/b cable is streched

had the same problem with mine it eventually snapped and i had a b!tch of a time finding a replacement

it all fine and adjusted i think it is just the difference between disk and drum hand brakes
that and bad hand brake design

definitely the cable mate ... hunt down a new one and you will be able to snap that handbrake on nice n tight, you can imagine how many times its been pulled up in 20 years and like its been said, its stretched ... i adjusted mine and got new pads n made it slightly better, but i need a new cable to get it back to something decent

i find the best people to fix you up are marine control type places, i recently had the end of my bonnet release cable replaced with steel fittings. also had my accelerator cable changed to suit my jap inlet. only cost me $30.
