NRMA Safety Ratings of Used Sports Cars - N12 = almost last

Wouldn't want to own an N12 EXA... D'oh! I think i'll be driving my Dad's E46 3 Series from now on...

Use the Used Car Safety Ratings to find safe models when you're purchasing a second-hand car. The ratings are based on statistics collected on more than a 1.7 million serious crashes on NSW, Queensland and Victorian roads. You are more than five times as likely to be seriously injured or killed in the least protective cars as you are in the cars that ranked the safest.

here is the pulsar ratings, they may be "significantly worse than average" but at least they are "Less harm than average" and we have a tick (thats a good thing) :)

i cannot understand why the N12 pulsar is "Significantly less harm to other road users than average" inrelation to the EXA's performance in this catagory.. they are esentially the same car.. plus the EXA has rubber body parts.. surely this would minimise the damage..

Our cars arnt likely to seriously harm others because they car so light compared to the average car now days. Most cars now days carry double the momentum that the exa or pulsar would... And if you have even brushed on physics before you should know that the exa would get nailed:p

Our cars couldnt hurt most things larger than it... And most cars are larger than it, they would just crumble. If you get our 900kg cars hitting an average 1500kg car, you are always gonna think that our cars would pose little threat.

Even if the rusults said there was a 99% chance of me dying in a crash at 100k's i still couldnt help myself but drive it anyway :)
