Hi , u all might remember me , i had an issue with parking lights few days ago.. I mamaged to get the parking lights fixed and they are working fine. I am having a bit of trouble getting the dash lights to work now... I connected the parking lights a different way using low and high beam.
I need some information in getting the dash lights to work ..
HELP :?

Try this:
find the fuse for the dash lights.
get a 12V feed from the output of your parkers/headlights.
stick the 12V feed wire onto the output leg of the fuse for the dash lights.
look at your dash lights & see if they come on with your headlights.
if it works then make it permanent, but don't forget to put a fuse in-line.

I thought the ET's didnt have a fuse for the dash lights ..

coz i checked this afternoon and , cant remember seeing a fuse for it .
i tried connecting a live wire to the dash light wire and it burnt my f****** finger.... the wire got really hot that there was a bit of smoke ...

Light globes don't suck that much current -- you've got bigger probs with your dash lights.
Time to take the guage cluster out.
I'd say this was probably the root of the prob with the parkers too.

Did anyone confirm/disprove my theory that the parkers and dash lights share the same fuse??

is there like a main light wire in the dashcluster plugs ?? how can i find it ?? if there is what if i take a connection from the parkers and tap it to the dash lights ?? what u all think , would it work ??

did you say that you checked the dimmer switch? becuase the lights wont work without it/broken one

yes i checked the little switch. it never worked so i tapped a line out of the low beam and hooked it up to the two red/black wires from the dimmer plug and the dash lights worked.(only on low beam though)

but after i hooked up the parkers the dash lights stopped working... it was stressin me out..



I have a feelin that we are gettin closer in solving this problem :oops: :x
